Review of Stay Hungry (1976) by Wolfgang Z — 07 Dec 2009
"Stay Hungry" was a unique idea for a movie. It had good acting, a decent script, and a great cast. The one problem with this movie, and it's sort of a big problem, is that it was mostly just......boring. It was very very dull.
The performance from all of these actors in their youth was really a treat to watch. Jeff Bridges, Robert England, Sally Field, and Arnold Schwarzenegger all did a good job with this film, and this is from when they were all young, so that was really interesting to see.
The reason this film was so dull, was because at points the script took turns where I didn't really know what was going on. Also, there were times where the cinematography was too dark for me to see anything, and it really made me a little drowsy. For such an interesting concept for a movie...it really could have done better.
There isn't really anything else to say. Overall, "Stay Hungry" was ehh. It had a good cast, and some good acting, but overall it's dull atmosphere made me think that this film could have been way better.
