I've got a soft place in my heart for the SNL cast and this movie is perfectly well done and pleasant to boot so that's why it's getting a relative pass. Don't misunderstand though, this is a well constructed but clearly plagiarized lovechild of Caddyshack, Superbad and the To-Do List.
Like scene for scene. Thomas and Jost are just lucky no one saw the stupid movie or they'd be in court.
