Not enough can be said of Gary Oldman. The man is a fucking force of nature, he steals scenes like a kleptomaniac steals cutlery. Harris and Penn are quite good as well, but as always, its Oldman who provides the charge here.
He is way to underused these days, its a goddamn shame actually. This movie is pretty damn good. This came out when Goodfellas did, and even though the Fellas got the spotlight, I would have to say its a pretty close race between the two, and if I had to choose between them, I would pick State of Grace because the whole Italian mob thing is about as fresh as a 93 year old mans underpants.
