I'd forgotten how good this was. The story itself is quite a typical gangster drama, with corruption, betrayal, family ties vs. violence. With a lamer cast director Joanou might've fallen short, but this is absolute vintage stuff from Penn and, especially, Mr.
Oldman. Three stars for the movie, one for Gaz.
