Not the masterpeice a certain Mr D.Parfitt will have you beleive, but terrific none the less. Penn, Oldman and Harris shine in their roles as Cop, Hooodlum and Crime boss, each unaware of what the other is planning.
It may be a little unsurprising in it's execution but that is only down to the fact that the 1990's became awash with Crime films and perhaps has dulled it's impact. I personally beleive the ending may have influenced a certain Mr Tarantino's first movie.
Haunting score too.
