Perhaps it's my age, but this film is one of the funniest movies of all time. Jill Clayburgh does NOT try to be Diane Keaton in Annie Hall. She is herself as a perfectly UPSET divorcee who constantly who seems to be constantly immersed in situaltions so hysterical, I laugh out loud. My stomach hurts by the end.

Also, let's not forget the wonderful Charles Durning in a most memorable scene inside Bloomingdales, where, by the way, we catch a glimpse of a future "Star" without a line to be spoken: Kevin Bacon.

It annoys me when people compare this to Annie Hall. There is none except that they are both GREAT romantic comedies. And that's where it begins and that's where it ends.

I am no Burt Reynolds' fan, but he played his part perfectly as did his co-star ex-wife, Candace Bergen.

People WAKE UP. Especially if you are a Baby Boomer. If you haven't seen it, you MUST put Starting Over on your cinema Bucket List. ASAP. We don't have that many years left to see this wonderful film.
