Review of Starter for 10 (2006) by Mily L — 10 Jun 2008
A surprisingly fantastic hidden gem. James McAvoy pulls off comedy quite well - I became interested in seeing this film after seeing his romantic work in Atonement and Becoming Jane. It's set in one of my favorite eras (the 80s) in one of my favorite places (England).
There are some truly genius comedic moments, as well as a dash of romance. I adore the protestor girl's fashion sense...watch this film. The soundtrack is amazing - so much Smiths and Cure that it made me nostalgic for an era that I barely remember.
