Review of Starsky & Hutch (1975) by Etienne B — 12 Nov 2009
Sometimes funny, most of the time not. Comedy throwback at the classic TV series is helped sligtly by a surprisingly zappy chemistry between Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. However, the crime plot of the picture runs out of steam before the climax arrives; and at this point the laughs have disappeared completely.
A Will Ferrell cameo (in a disturbing scene featuring Starland Vocal Band's "Afternoon Delight") is easily the best thing about the movie.
