Review of Starship Troopers: Invasion (2012) by Kevin R — 06 Mar 2015
I've killed hundreds of them and they've killed none of me.
A foundation base has been placed on an asteroid that is infested with large alien bugs. The Starship Alesia happens to be in a nearby star system and is called in to extract the survivors. Initially, they land and seal off the area appropriately; however, as more and more people begin being extracted, the bugs come to finish what they started.
"I don't normally dance with guys; but in your case, I'll make an exception.".
Shinji Aramaki, director of Appleseed, Appleseed Alpha, Space Pirate Captain Harlock, and segments of Halo Legends, delivers Starship Troopers: Invasion. The storyline for this picture is fairly straightforward and contains some interesting characters and well done animation. The voices fit the characters well.
"We're on a rescue mission, people.".
I came across this on Netflix and adored the original movie so I decided to give this a shot. This was actually my favorite sequel after the original. The plot was just okay but the animation was cool and fun. I do recommend watching this if you're a fan of the series or science fiction.
"She hacked everything.".
Grade: C+/B-.
