Review of Starship Troopers 3: Marauder (2008) by Tom D — 16 Aug 2008
Not as good as the dark knight.
Terrible terrible film. They tried hard though - there was a definite feeling of effort coming from all involved. Loved the first film - the second was dreadful - and this one is somewhere inbetween. Lots of 'messages' in the writing. Finding god and which god is the right one. And peaceful protests against the war and stuff. They managed to slam america a hell of alot throughout the course of the film. There's even a line about being against the 'war on arachnids' and the actor gurns out 'war on IRAQ-nids'... subtle buddy. very subtle.
Not god awful, but no where near as good as the first. Too many terrible scale model sets and green screen backgrounds. And shoddy editing. A guy gets killed in one scene then he's walking along in the next scene.
Worth watching at 2am if there's nothing else and you don't wanna put something good on incase you fall asleep.
