Review of Starship Troopers 3: Marauder (2008) by Christophe C — 24 Aug 2009
Well, better than the second one for sure even though I appreciated what they were trying to do with that. If your like me the best thing aboot this film is the pointless nudity of hot young things and the fact that one of the main characters is called 'Dix'.
I like the film and its humourous satire right up until the end when religion is lampooned but the main character played by that big lipped woman from Star Trek: Enterprise finds god after being rescued and depsite being the biggest skeptic and the closest thing to a likeable character.
Her revelation turns what was a rye comment on the use of religion as a tool in propaganda and warfare into something altogether more hideous. They probably copped out on the slating of religion all the way and included her road to damascus conversion as a way of appeasing religious cinema goers.
Anyway, god-crap aside this is decent and a restoration of the original style of the first film...if that's a good thing.
