Review of Starship Troopers 3: Marauder (2008) by Scott A — 08 May 2012

Eh...it was ok. On the plus side, they brought Casper Van Dien back. He's got a great character (now if they'd only found a way to bring Diz back!) On the minus side, religion somehow becomes a greater oppressor/weapon than the enemy? Again? Isn't that tired? Even real world despots know that doesn't work - that's why they try to eliminate it and don't try to use it.

I do like the self-aware camp and LOVE the propaganda filming style, but they went a little heavy on 'message'. Should've focused on more bug guts and in-the-trenches-tough-guy stereotypical one liners. THAT'S what makes this franchise fun!
