This sequel to Paul Verhoeven's cult favourite stole it's storyline from a group of other movies like: Aliens, Body Snatchers, and Species. Not original in any way. One of the best things about the first movie was the satire and dark comedy, which this movie was missing.
This is the directorial debut from visual effects mastermind, Phil Tippett (Jurassic Park). If it wasn't for him being involved, this movie would have been a lot worse. For a low-budget - straight to DVD movie, it could have been worse.
