Horrible horrible movie without wit or substance. Fails to capitalize on any of the commentary or humor of the original but instead reuses shots & effects wholesale. With the majority of the movie set inside bunkers with limited views we are not treated to the alien vistas of the original nor the range of bugs or situations.
If only they could have taken the obvious metaphor for the trenches of WWI they could have had a dark political satire on their hands instead of a humorless trudge through generic characters and plot points.
