Review of Starship Troopers (1997) by Tre O — 23 May 2013
Considering the novel it was based upon, this film could have been a masterpiece of socio-political commentary and satire. However, in Verhoeven's hands (a man who is known for nothing deeper than a bullet wound to the head) it ends up being nothing but enjoyable B-movie schlock.
