Fantastic film from Carpenter again using his "hero trapped" routine alters this into an Alien landing on Earth and needing to get home. A fantastic dual performance from Bridges and Allen cement a great romantic / sci-fi / drama.
One of Carpenters best and with the early years that is some acheivement.
