Whilst this is likeable, it's not quite the 80s classic I was expecting. Karen Allen is lovely as always, Jeff Bridges is very good as the alien gradually learning to walk and talk like a human, and the whole thing comes across as a more adult 'E.
T.' or 'Mork & Mindy' meets 'Close Encounters'. But it's lacking something, plotwise.
