Review of Stargate: The Ark of Truth (2008) by Steven B — 03 Apr 2008
Despite some of the Flickster comments, I felt it did stand alone reasonably well and was an excellent conclusion to the Ori storyline. In fact, I don't think the apologetic commentaries on the DVD were even necessary, as the producers have cut their teeth on several 2-part episodes over the 10 years of the shows and though the budget for special effects was clearly larger and well-used, their excellence is as ever, in crafting a well-paced, exciting story.
They should be very proud of their accomplishment. Fine story, good acting, great special effects. I was very impressed and look forward to the release of Stargate: Continuum this summer (even if it is rehashing the plot of one of the aforementioned 2-part episodes).
