Review of Stargate: The Ark of Truth (2008) by Rob L — 14 Oct 2008

"The Ark of Truth" is the finishing up of the Ori storyline and a typically fantastic rollercoaster ride in the SG1 franchise. As alwasy the CGI is fantastic but an understanding of the series is needed to fully appreciate this straight to DVD movie.

In true SG1 style the solution almost magically appears but there are some truely impressive battles and some amusing SG1 sticky moments with plenty of one liners. I was slightly disappointed it was so short, I would have liked to see them extend it a little because for me it was in some ways too easy.

After all SG1 spent 8 or 9 years battling the Goa'uld and it took them next to no time to defeat an enemy far more powerful - the Ori. However, I did love every minute of this and think it is a fine addition to the Stargate universe.
