The ark of truth is a 2 hour wrap up of a season long story ark. Not very satisfying for fans of the show, because in the season the Ori are kicking our butts, and now they wrap up what could have been another 8 season story arc in 2 hours.
Yeah, it's somewhat sloppy, but I understand their need to move forward with other Stargate stories.
