Review of Stargate: Continuum (2008) by Nick G — 09 Sep 2008
Speaking as a big Stargate fan, this movie is good times, though it's nothing really all that original for the series. It seems to combine the Moebius two-parter with a little of the drama of the end of the last episode (Mitchell's ultimate fate).
Mostly the former, though. Unoriginality aside, it's still great to see Jack and Hammond again, though it is sad to note it's Hammond's last possible appearance. And it's always fun to see the main enemy be defeated three times in a row in three different ways.
Especially if he's already died once in the beginning. Although the last half hour seemed a little rushed. The first hour is spent setting up the big end battle and all the drama that surrounds it, which winds up being about as much as that first hour stuffed into a half-hour timeframe.
Still, I'm ready to sit back and watch it all over again.
