Review of Stargate (1994) by Jason R — 26 Sep 2009
'90s sci-fi film that's most interesting aspect is the Egyptian ties. The film isn't bad, but it is overly long and an obvious set up for sequels (although only series followed, but a lot of them).
The Egyptian aspect of the film is interesting and since Greek mythology seems so prevalent, the ideas seem fresh. It is also one of the few films of Jaye Davidson of the Crying Game and allegedly the first film to have a website.
