Review of Stargate (1994) by Aaron K — 18 Nov 2009
Not quite as exciting as I remember it was when I saw it on the big screen fifteen years ago, but has held up pretty well. Like all of Roland Emmerich's films this has a level of hokiness to it, but the film is such fun that it doesn't really matter.
The performances, effects, score, production and costume design are all quite good and though the film does feel a bit overlong it never gets boring.
