Review of Stargate (1994) by Damjan R — 15 Feb 2013
While it does feature a cool concept, and it has some cinematic value, albeit not that much, its plot full of holes, and features some really interesting character choices (but not in a good way mind you).
The direction is able, but in a film such as this, not even massive sweeping vistas and visual splendor can mask the deficiencies of its story. Not recommended, but if nothing else is on the TV, watch it to discuss the themes.
