Review of Stardust Memories (1980) by Juha R — 24 Jul 2007
This, Manhattan and Annie Hall are my three favourite Woody Allen films, perhaps because they are the most self reflexive and honest about being "films" about life by a comedian. It is a bit disappointing that these films were all made bya single filmmaker and that it wasnt part of a larger movement.
Not a student of film, but I have a feeling this is true of a lot of the great American film... cept for the Action genre I guess.
