Review of Stardust Memories (1980) by Matthew B — 05 Jun 2009
Along side a clockwork orange this is my favorite film of all time. The wit and intellect that woody allen combines with his comedy is amazing and so perfect. The romance and the insights are also wonderful.
It drew its inspirations from fellini's 8 and a half, but with woody's style it makes the story of a film maker having a mid-life crisis even more magical and yes, sensible.
