Review of Stardust Memories (1980) by Maxwell S — 23 May 2012
I realize the whole concept and the way it's construct is a little shifty and the whole thing isn't a masterpiece whatsoever, but this is my favorite Woody Allen film. I don't consider this a masterpiece, but I consider films like "Annie Hall" or "Manhattan" to be masterpieces.
I'm a little surprised that this isn't in the Criterion Collection. I mainly like this for it's artistic vision with the classic Woody Allen still present. Anyway, I know that I'm quite singled out with this, but this isn't a usual Allen film and only few will see it the way I do.
