What a sudden transformation; De Niro works his magic on Tristam who becomes a swashbuckling knight in shining armor in a very short amount of time; I thought Claire Danes was enchanting in her role; it's a children's tale, fantasy mixed with some dark humour and I had a fine time watching it, and I also liked the cinematography- it was quite lush visually.
