One of those lovely suspension-of-disbelief movies that initially seems like it could get bogged down in clichà (C), but which throws enough oddball touches (thanks to the source material: the novel of the same name by the truly brilliant Neil Gaiman) in to keep it fun and interesting.
Michelle Pfeiffer as an alternately beautiful and hideous old witch? Check. Robert DeNiro in drag??? Check. Ricky Gervais finally has his mouth sealed shut so he canâ(TM)t talk?!?!? Check and 4 stars!!!
