I love the author's (Neil Gaiman) novels (e.g., American Gods) and graphic novels (e.g., the Sandman series). I also really like Clare Danes, so I wanted to like this movie. And I did. Not quite the next "The Princess Bride" it aspired to be, but charming overall.
Michelle Pfeiffer is terrific, as is newcomer Charlie Fox.
