Review of Stardust (2007) by Maria M — 13 Aug 2014

Fantasy genres like the popular Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings series are not my cup of tea. I find them unbearably corny, but I gave this one a chance because the ratings were ravingly good. I'm glad I did and you will be too.

When you expect nothing from something and it turns out to be unexpectedly extraordinary the result is pure ecstasy. I was smiling so hard by the end of this movie that I actually felt my heart swell, and I cried tears of happiness.

Any movie that can do that accomplished its most wildest expectations. This movie is a shining example of why movies exist in the first place. It takes you for a ride, tickles your funny bone, makes you feel deeply, and in special circumstances like this one, it rocks you to the core.

This movie has been added to the short list of all time favorites, and I will be telling everyone I know it's a must see.
