Review of Starbuck (2011) by Todd G — 17 May 2012
A film with a premise that only the French could make so utterly heartwarming. Patrick Huard is a lovable screw up and does well with an entirely insane premise. It's all a little too neat, with everyone taking the existence of this man's 533 children a little too much in stride, especially the children themselves.
Here's were the film could have delved a little deeper. This doesn't spoil the enjoyable two hours, however, and the overall sentiment, that blood is thicker than water, is a nice one.
