Just like the Force Awakens was just a bigger, less cohesive "A New Hope," "The Last Jedi," is a bigger, less cohesive, "The Empire Strikes Back." The lack of originality actually distracts from the transparent social justice agenda constantly pushed by the new trilogy.

I hardly notices it this time until other people pointed it out.
