Review of Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) by M B — 18 Jan 2018
One star, since half apparently does not count in audience score.
Although the sacred Jedi texts are shown to be stashed in the Falcon at the end of the film, Yoda apparently burning them, to the shock of Luke Skywalker, is a good picture of what has happened to Star Wars. The Jedi texts are a picture of the films created by George Lucas. They are apparently old and stupid now. Yoda, who looked different from the old Yoda and is a picture of those in control of Star Wars now, cackles as he says they are no longer needed and calls down fire. They are really no longer needed, and could be burned, but since a few old fogies do still like them, after all, the antiquated episodes 1 through 6 will be kept to collect dust in the Falcon. Star Wars can now move forward to a more "enlightened" state. The old films are to be pitied and mocked.
