Review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) by Gene T — 23 Aug 2018

An oké Star Wars film with some relatively exiting action sequences that somehow feels like it is taking place in a very small universe. The movie fizzles out somewhat towards the end but is saved by the fact that by that time the the audience feels invested in the characters, mostly because they have such great onscreen chemistry together.

In fact I would say it is the character interaction in TFA that comes closest to capturing the feel and spirit of the original trilogy and I cannot wait to see what is in store for them in the continuation of the trilogy.
