A young person spends most of their time doing odd jobs, in the course of which becomes the owner of a unassuming droid carrying an urgent message for someone important and wise. In trying to get the droid to this Important Person, the young person is pulled into adventures and dangers, and learns of new, hidden powers within themselves linking them to the Force. The Dark Side of the Force has nefarious plans to destroy the freedom-loving fighters, the Death Star destroys a planet (or two), and someone kills their father. ("But WAIT - there's MORE!") WHICH "Star Wars" is this again?!

The salaries that some of these old, tired actors pull in for mediocre acting is obscene. Also - since most of the "action figures" are male, it seems to be yet another movie with token females. General Leia doesn't really seem to be doing much of anything, and Rey - who is 19 years old - supports herself, knows how to fight, knows how to handle herself in rough situations - in most societies would be considered a young woman, is consistently referred to as "the girl". Save your time and money, and choose a different film for your entertainment.
