Review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) by Johnny D — 26 Dec 2009

Perhaps it's a bit self indulgent, but the story was decent. This movie makes no real difference to the orginal series which pretty much suggests that Clone Wars was simply a cash grab largely directed at die hard Star Wars fans.

The story line in simple enough, basically the Republic fights the Separatists (a.k.a. the Jedi's) for Jabba the Huts favour. This seems a little bit ridiculous and one really wanders whether this sub-plot to the entire series really deserves its own movie - but I imagine hard core Star Wars fans could answer that better than I.

Overall the movie was good enough, just kind of wander how necessary the whole thing was.
