Review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) by Johan F — 05 Mar 2010
I didn't have very high expectations, but the movie didn't reach even those I possibly was hoping for. Since I'm a nerdy SW fan I wanted the basic structure intact, but look what they have done: Yoda seems to be taken right out of a manga cereal box with a far more grim and evil appearance ever seen before.
Anakin seems far too light hearted in the beginning and even gets rescued by a rookie. And Jabba the Hutt has got a puny hatchling son that seems related to those sentient snack aliens in Futurama (no offense on Futurama, a series I truly like, but the mood, plot and feel in Star Wars and Futurama are lightyears apart).
I did want to give this movie a chance but liking it is a loot harder than I thought.
