Review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) by Russell G — 03 Jan 2011
This is the first animated Star Wars film. It helped spawn the animated series that played on television. I watched the television series before I watched this film. One does not to see either first to like or to follow the main story.
As long as your a Star Wars fan you will enjoy this. The animation is just like the television series. A very unique look to the Star Wars world. The film is colorful and full of explosions, fights, Jedi battles and interesting characters.
The animation helps show off the Star Wars films that a live action film can not. Overall the story is solid but not as great as the live action films. It was great to see Anakin Skywalker get a padawan.
Now your left with the question as to what happens to Ahsoka later in the Star Wars world since she never appears in the live action films. The main thing I enjoyed the most was seeing a adventure during the clone wars that a live action would never bring to us.
Overall this is a fun animated movie. A must see for any Star Wars fan.
