Review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) by Paul N — 11 Dec 2011
Great start to what I hope is a very good TV show. I thought that the animation was really impressive as well as the action. The battles were well done. I noticed that some people are taking issue with Jabba's uncle Ziro being gay but when I saw and heard the character in the movie, I just assumed that Ziro had switched to female form.
This would still leave "him" in the role of Jabba's "uncle" but he would currently be a she. I'm not sure what Ziro was supposed to be but that was my first impression and what I thought throughout the movie.
The only thing I didn't really like in this movie was Anakin's padawan Ahsoka. I didn't have a problem with how they interacted or her role in the movie but with the fact that she has never been mentioned before in the movies, books, comics, etc.
I'm hoping that the reason for this will be explained during the TV show and I am willing to accept this explanation and include her character in the vast saga that I have come to love.
