Review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) by Eric V — 11 Apr 2012
Terrible... Absolutely terrible. I love "Star Wars," I always have, but this film? I wish I could say the same, but I can't. I didn't like the character design, and the story was totally needless.
I don't understand George Lucas' logic behind this film, was he trying to destroy the very franchise that made him a household name? Or was he simply trying to prove that he can still make a decent movie? Either way, if you see this movie on the shelf at your local store, or at the local Hollywood video, or Blockbuster, or netflix, or whatever you so choose to use as your provider for renting movies, please pass it up, you will be doing yourself a great service.
I give this movie 1 star, and that's being generous, due to the fact that the voice actor did a better job as Anakin Skywalker than Hayden Christensen ever would have done. Overall, this movie was just about as needless as the new "Star Wars" trilogy.
Does this mean that this movie makes the new trilogy into good movies? No, but it definitely makes them movies, which is more than what I can say for this pile of bantha fodder.
