Review of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) by Brandonm — 15 Aug 2008
What a fun film! This film was full of action from the beginning. Bar none, it has the best action sequences in the Star wars saga to date. The action was fantastic in nature and really engaging. On top of the action, the humor from the original trilogy was there too.
Humor was sorely missed throughout the prequel trilogy and it has thankfully returned. A large part of that humor comes from the relationship between Anakin and Ahsoka, his new padawan. Ahsoka is a great addition to the Star wars mythos.
The scope of this movie and the Clone Wars lead to a nearly infinite amount of stories that could be told in this format. It takes a few minutes to get into the animation, but once settled in, you're happy to be along for the ride.
I'll have to see it again, but this probably better than any of the prequel movies. I hope they continue to produce movies in tandem with the television show.
