Review of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) by Kevin M — 18 Dec 2015
I've taken it down a peg since my last viewing of the film, but I still stand by that this is one of the best Star Wars films. The cgi unlike the first 2, still holds itself together nicely. The story is dark, the action is plentiful, and the Anakin/Obi-Wan fight is hands down--for me--the best lightsaber battle from the films.
Does the ending go on a bit long? Yes. Does the love story still feel like a 5th grader watched too much Boy Meets World and just scribbled something out with a crayon on a napkin at a Denny's his father took him to? Yes.
But do you get epic ship battles? Lightsaber fights? The Dark Side saying a big F*you to children? Yes, yes, and more yes. Episode III is the best of the prequel films by far.
