Review of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) by Eric M — 19 Dec 2015
Addendum: This is a work of stunning power, majesty, tragedy and emotion. Every frame is a work of glorious spectacle and the Shakespearean tragedy delivers potent catharsis thanks to Lucas's stunning visuals and John Williams' heartbreaking score.
Original Review:
It is a masterpiece not because the fall of Anakin Skywalker is realistic, but because his treachery is of mythic proportions. The film builds to a remarkably compelling climax, as we are overwhelmed by the sheer power and weight of the Shakespearean style tragedy.
