Review of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) by Patrick W — 21 Jun 2016
The conclusion of "the birth of Darth Vader/rise of the Empire" trilogy again fell pretty flat. At least the script did set the story continuum well for episodes IV, V, and VI. Again, Hayden Christensen's dark and brooding Anakin really wasn't that terrifying as he turned to the dark side.
Also, the "emo Vader" at the end wasn't earth shattering but awkwardly funny instead. Lightsaber duel between Anakin and Obi Wan was at least well done. What younger audiences will think is good because of the sylized lightsaber duels and quality CGI, is outshone by a lackluster script.
