Review of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) by Rodney S — 04 May 2017
Forget what you hear from jaded Star Wars fans who are really and truly the worst faction of audience members to get an honest review from due to their incessant griping about what they wanted to see, didn't see, etc.
I absolutely believe if nobody ever seen a Star Wars movie before the prequel trilogy, this trilogy would have been heralded as a major achievement in science-fiction-fantasy filmmaking. This movie is the best of the three hands down.
While not quite as wonderful as the original trilogy, this trilogy is by no means "bad" filmmaking. If the original trilogy was an 'A', then this one was a very solid 'B'. The third film, "Revenge of the Sith" is probably the third or fourth best of the entire saga right on par with "Return of the Jedi".
This is a really good movie that feels almost like a hybrid of the original trilogy and the new one. The end result is something altogether unique. It is basically a Greek/Shakespearean tragedy dressed up as space fantasy.
