Review of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) by Alec B — 10 Dec 2015
I can see what Lucas was going for here (essentially a very old fashioned and melodramatic love story set against the back drop of an impending war) but he again gets in the way of his own goals with mediocre dialogue and terrible casting choices.
I do appreciate the way Lucas visually references other science fiction material like "Blade Runner" and the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs but that isn't enough to sustain the movie.
