Just as The Phantom Menace turned Star Wars into a boring political drama, Attack of the Clones turned it into an even more boring romance story. The writing somehow got even worse, with the politics talk replaced with unbearable romance dialogue, featuring such gems like "I wish I could just wish away my feelings".
The Phantom Menace gets a lot of (well deserved) flack, and this movie doesn't get enough.
