Review of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) by Cristian L — 17 Aug 2015
The casting and effects could have been better. Young Anakin does not come across very well, especially when compared to the book. They also failed to make the connection/chemistry of Amadalia and Anakin which is important later on.
There wasn't much plot development allowed, likely for the time constraints. This series is very descriptive and the books develop and flow very well, I'm not impressed with how that translated to film.
