While it's not as good as the films that came before it (yet are somehow after it), it is still a pleasure to watch. I am in the minority with this, I know, but I don't find Jar Jar annoying, I don't think the acting is terrible, and I don't think it deserves all the hate.
The reason the score is not higher is because of the climax constantly switching between three fronts. Besides that, it serves as a great start to the six Star Wars movies.
